Plastic Import Flows in 2024: What the Data Shows
The table above is a snapshot of plastic import flows into the US in 2024. It shows 13 destination cities receiving plastic across 55 bills of lading, with routes from Pacific and Atlantic ports.
El Paso leads with 29 BOLs (Jones Plastic & Engineering), followed by San Francisco (4 BOLs, Yangs Plastic), San Diego (4 BOLs, Plastic Caskets, Plastic Bags Industrial), Sacramento (4 BOLs, Brown Plastic), and Las Vegas (3 BOLs, Welch Plastic). Phoenix, Tampa, Indianapolis, Houston, Dallas, Oakland, Denver, and Baltimore also receive plastic.
